Duran got one out — five hits, three earned, 20 pitches — and a lead the Phillies spent six innings rebuilding was gone. Wheeler lasted three innings and 68 pitches with five earned, and the relievers behind him held Miami scoreless from the fourth through the eighth before Duran came in. Heriberto Hernández homered in the first and then made the throwing error in the sixth that extended Philadelphia's rally. The Phillies took the lead in the sixth, held it for three innings, and lost it in the span of six batters in the ninth.
