Brayan Bello relieved Ranger Suarez in the fifth and threw four innings of three-hit, zero-run ball — 58 pitches, one walk, three strikeouts — and that is where this game turned. Boston put up five in the seventh, capped by Andruw Monasterio's two-run double and Jarren Duran's RBI groundout. Shohei Ohtani hit his 24th home run at 112.1 mph off the bat, a two-run shot that briefly gave Los Angeles the lead. Cole Irvin took the loss: six innings, six earned. The Dodgers committed two errors, and one of them let two runs cross on Masataka Yoshida's ground ball in the third.
