The Angels carried a two-run lead into the ninth and lost it on one swing. Ben Joyce walked two hitters in two-thirds of an inning, and Edmundo Sosa put an 85 mph changeup into the seats at 108.5 mph off the bat — a grand slam, the first Philadelphia lead of the night. Andrew Painter had given the Phillies six innings of two-hit baseball, and without those six innings, Sosa never gets the at-bat.
