Walker drove a 94.2 mph sinker 440 feet with two on in the second — his 25th of the year — and the three runs it produced were the margin Houston spent the rest of the night defending. Andrew Painter allowed ten hits and five earned in five innings, and four of those runs came on two swings. Philadelphia closed to within one on Trea Turner's two-run homer in the sixth and Edmundo Sosa's RBI double in the ninth, but Josh Hader finished it with the tying run on second. Hayden Wesneski's six innings of three-run ball earned him the win.
