Cronenworth's first home run, a two-run shot in the 2nd off Sandy Alcantara, put San Diego ahead, and his second, another two-run homer in the 8th, put it away. In between he doubled home a run in the 4th, giving him five RBI on three hits. Alcantara went six innings, gave up eight hits and four earned, while Walker Buehler got the win with six and two-thirds. Javier Sanoja's three-run homer in the 7th cut a 4-0 lead to 4-3 before Fernando Tatis Jr. answered with a solo shot at 111.1 mph off the bat, and Cronenworth's eighth-inning blast made it 7-3.
