Matt Svanson came in with a 4-0 lead in the ninth and faced five batters — three of them scored. Griffin Jax got the tenth and gave up the winning hit: JJ Wetherholt's two-run single to right. That is what happened to six innings of no-hit baseball. McGreevy walked two, struck out five, threw 96 pitches, and never allowed a hit. Alec Burleson and Nolan Gorman singled in runs in the first, Iván Herrera doubled in the eighth, and Burleson's sac fly made it 4-0. Joe Boyle went six for Tampa Bay — three hits, two runs — and kept the game close enough to come back.
