Jazz Chisholm's first home run of the year came on a 94.8 mph fastball in the fifth, and Carlos Narváez followed with his first — a 96.6 mph sinker to left-center — three batters later. Both came off Payton Tolle, who struck out eleven in six innings and left with a lead that the seventh inning erased. Danny Coulombe came on and gave up three hits and three earned runs in two-thirds of an inning: Cody Bellinger's two-run single and Aaron Judge's RBI single flipped the score. Schlittler threw 96 pitches, 69 for strikes, allowed four hits, and only one of the two runs against him was earned. Boston did not score after the fifth.
