Eleven hits, one run. The Astros left ten men on base, and their only run came on Carlos Correa's home run in the third — a solo shot that lasted as a lead for about ten minutes. Jarren Duran answered in the bottom of the inning with a three-run homer to right-center on an 0-1 curveball, and that was the ballgame. Mike Burrows took the loss despite six innings of three-run ball. Yordan Alvarez hit a ball 112.4 mph in the ninth — a forceout. Brice Matthews singled at 109.8 mph. None of it scored. Jake Bennett went five for Boston, one run, and the bullpen put zeros behind him. Aroldis Chapman worked the ninth for the save. Houston kept hitting the ball hard and kept walking back to the dugout.
