Both clubs scored three in the second and then nothing for three frames — Griffin Jax and Jake Bennett trading zeros. Simpson's two-run single in the sixth, a ground ball through center, gave Tampa the lead for good, and his triple in the eighth — his third of the year — brought Williamson around to put it away. Bigge earned the win with two clean relief innings, and Bennett took the loss, four earned over 5.1. The Red Sox left three on base all night, collected seven hits, and didn't score after the second until the eighth.
