Connor Wong's first home run of the season was a two-run shot in the second, and for six innings it looked like the night a catcher who had been waiting finally got his swing right. Justin Slaten entered the eighth with a 6-5 lead and gave up four hits and two runs on nineteen pitches, and that was the ballgame. Ranger Suarez had struck out nine over six and left with a lead the bullpen could not hold. Antonio Senzatela threw two scoreless innings for the win and Jimmy Herget needed eleven pitches in the ninth.

A ABS (Automated Ball‑Strike) challenge — filled = overturned
The diamond fills teal when the run scores; the out lands in the box of the runner it was made on. Names link to their pages at www.feverbaseball.com. New to the marks? The primer scores a full inning from scratch. Every pitch under these marks is typed, clocked and located off the same official feed. A hand-scorer could record what happened; nobody could record the pitch that did it.
