In the third, Gonzalez singled in two runs and Duran laid down a sacrifice bunt that became a run when first baseman Nolan Schanuel missed the catch. Five runs through three innings, and Jake Bennett made it hold: 7.2 innings, five hits, two earned, no walks, six strikeouts on 92 pitches. Caleb Durbin homered in the fifth on a 92.7 mph four-seamer. Jose Siri answered with a solo shot in the eighth at 108.0 mph, 408 feet, but the Angels were already down five. The Angels had seven hits and committed an error. Both of their runs scored in the eighth.
