The Twins put nine hits on the card and left eleven men on base. Connor Prielipp gave up eight earned in five innings, and the fifth broke him: a bases-loaded walk to Luis Arraez, a single from Alec Bohm, a two-run single from Edmundo Sosa, and then Bryson Stott's three-run homer to right. Jesús Luzardo struck out nine in 6.2 innings and left with a lead that only grew. Royce Lewis doubled in the sixth for Minnesota's only run. The Phillies left nine on base themselves and still scored nine.
