Eleven innings, five lead changes, and eleven pitchers between the two staffs — and it ended on one swing. Chris Sale threw seven innings for Atlanta and left with a lead that did not survive the tenth. Philadelphia took the lead twice in extra innings — Justin Crawford's single in the tenth, Luis Arraez's in the eleventh — and gave it back both times. Drake Baldwin's line drive to center scored Ha-Seong Kim and ended it. Aaron Nola had given Philadelphia six and a third innings of two-run ball, and it should have held up.
